Job Title: Lessons Manager

Start Date: JUNE/JULY 2025 (training), FALL 2025 (full duty)

Schedule: Part-Time; April/May, June/July, September

Reports To: Board of Directors/Head Coach

Expereince Required:

Job Goal: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the lessons program. The lessons manager will be a key position in the growth of our team. This person should be excited to assist the lead developmental coach, while taking ownership and collaborating to create plans that develop the lessons program. This will be a key position within the program. This individual will work with the head coach to create a progression for skills and technique for our lessons program to prepare athletes taking lessons for the team.

Lessons Manager Duties:

• Capable of becoming USA Swimming coach certified
• Work with head coach and BOD to set fees for lessons
• On deck supervisor during lessons

Website Duties:

• Prepare website for lessons registration for each session
• Take registrations for lessons
• Issue refunds for cancellations as needed
• Set lessons schedule
• Set up and maintain lessons roster
• Maintain completion certificates
• Maintain email database for lessons
• Follow up on email and phone inquiries on lesson

Promotional Duties:

• Work with head coach to advertise lessons through school system and team social media pages
• Create lessons fliers and other materials to use for advertisement of program

Instructor Management Duties:

• Hire instructors
• Train instructors*
• Manage instructors (schedules, days off)
• Work with business manager on payroll and hours of instructors

Other Duties:

• Perform evaluations for lessons participants looking to join the team*
• Maintain lessons equipment and replace as needed with approval from BOD
