We asked each swimmer a few questions! Take a look to see what our swimmers of the month’s  favorite things are.

What is your favorite event/stroke?

Lillian: Breaststroke

Maddy: freestyle 

Camp: Freestyle

Bella: 500 free 

Peyton: Backstroke

What is the best part of practice?

Lillian: Jumping off the diving board 

Maddy: hanging with friends

Camp: warmups

Bella: warmup

Peyton: Dryland

What is your go to swim meet/ before practice snack?

Lillian: blueberries 

Maddy: kit kats 

Camp: dinner

Bella: popcorn

Peyton: Banana

Favorite fall break activity?

Lillian: playing outside

Maddy: going to Tennessee 

Camp: playing fortnite

Bella: going to Destin 

Peyton: Not going to school

Lillian: Coach  Summer wrote, “Lilly is swimmer of the month for multiple reasons! She works hard at every practice, always has a positive attitude, and focuses on good technique every lap she swims!”

Maddy: Coach Emma  wrote, “ Maddy is always ready to learn and a friend to everyone in the group. She is eager to improve and is always ready for corrections to make herself a better swimmer.” 

Camp: Coach Emma wrote, “ Camp comes in every practice wanting to work hard and improve his skills. He is always one of the first to ask for clarification and ask for help with a stroke/drill when he feels he isn’t doing it correctly.” 

Bella: Coach Elizabeth wrote, “Bella is a great teammate and friend! She is always checking on and cheering on those around her. She is always asking what she can do to get better and takes what is said to her and runs with it!”

Peyton: Coach Hannah wrote, “I chose Peyton because of her work ethic and how well she has acclimated to the senior prep group. Peyton comes to practice ready to learn and work, she is very coachable and will try new things with no fear. She is a great teammate and always positive during practice.”

What is your favorite event/stroke?

Jazi: My favorite stroke is butterfly because you get to act like a dolphin.

Zora: 100 Butterfly 

What is the best part of practice?

Jazi: The best part of practice is getting to dive off the blocks.

Zora: The end 

What is your go to swim meet/ before practice snack?

Jazi: I like to eat candy corn before practice.

Zora: Peanut Butter Sandwich 

If you could do anything, what would it be?

Zora: Star in a movie

Jazi: Coach  Summer wrote, “I chose Jazi as swimmer of the month because she always comes to practice with a great attitude and she swims every lap like it’s a race!”

Zora: Coach Elizabeth wrote, “Zora has made huge improvements this season. She always has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic!”

We asked each swimmer a few questions! Take a look to see what our swimmers of the month’s  favorite things are.

What is your favorite event/stroke?

Cooper: Freestyle

Rowan: Breaststroke

Flynn: Backstroke (50) 

Colton: 100 Back

What is the best part of practice?

Cooper: Swimming 

Rowan: being able to come to practice, see/talk to my friends 

Flynn: Having Fun 

Colton: Warmups and sometimes the main set

What is your go to swim meet/ before practice snack?

Cooper: Chips 

Rowan: Bananas 

Flynn: Gold Fish

Colton: Sweet Potato Crackers 

Favorite Olympic/non-Olympic sport to watch?

Cooper: Baseball

Rowan: Cheerleading 

Flynn: I don’t really watch sports 

Colton: Football

Cooper: Coach Kitty wrote, “Cooper Anderson is a Super Sweet swimmer with tons of personality. He is always eager to learn and always first in the water with a smile. He works very hard and always has fun while doing it. His eagerness is contagious!”

 

Rowan: : Coach Emma wrote, “ Rowan comes to practice ready to learn something new every time. She is always asking for help and wanting to improve in every way that she can. She has improved/ learned new skills and has a drive to be the best she can.” 

 

Flynn: Coach Emma wrote, “ Flynn comes out and races hard at meets, getting 2 divisional cuts at the Turkey Classic Meet. He is at every practice wanting to get better in not just his favorite stroke (backstroke) but in all strokes. He shows up nightly and strives to be a better swimmer and a great friend/leader in the group. He is eager to get better and drop time/ get more cuts in other events.” 

 

Colton: : Coach Elizabeth wrote, “Cotlon doesn’t let being the youngest in the group slow him down. He is quick to ask how he can improve and even quicker to implement those corrections. Colton loves to race (especially his sister!) and always has a smile on his face!”

 

Ali: Coach Hannah wrote, “Ali had a great month! After not competing at a meet for a long time she dropped time in all her events and came to practice with a great attitude and worked hard. She has become a lane leader and is always pushing herself and teammates to be better.”
